Petainer's 2024 ESG Report: Advancing Sustainability and Transparency

Petainer are proud to release our third ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) report, detailing the progress we made during 2024. This report demonstrates our continued commitment to decarbonising beverage packaging and supporting our customers with high-performance, sustainable PET solutions. Through transparent reporting and science-based targets, we aim to lead the packaging sector in responsible innovation and emissions reduction.

• Gross emissions reduced by 37 % compared to the 2018 baseline; a 35 % reduction in emissions intensity per tonne of resin used
• Recycled content increased to 37 % of total resin, avoiding 36,719 tonnes of CO2 emissions
• Scope 4 avoided emissions totalled over 532,000 tonnes CO2 thanks to rPET usage and reusable packaging
• 99 % of electricity used globally came from renewable sources, with US sites set to follow in 2025
• EcoVadis: Aš (Czech Republic) awarded a Platinum Medal (top 1 % globally), Lidköping (Sweden) awarded Gold
• Employee satisfaction: 78 % of staff rated working at Petainer in the highest satisfaction band in our first global employee survey
