When a keg is empty, it should be depressurised immediately after usage. When empty, there will be a small amount of residual pressure in the keg that needs to be released. Follow the steps below in a ventilated area, with appropriate safety wear.
Petainer Kegs can be easily disassembled for recycling. Hybrid kegs need to have the top and bottom chimes removed. Classic Kegs should be removed from their box and disposed of separately. Kegs need to be separated from their boxes and placed into different recycling streams.
