Petainer's 2023 ESG Report: Advancing Sustainability and Transparency

Petainer are proud to present our second ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) report, covering the progress we made during 2023. Our aim remains clear: to reduce our environmental impact through innovation in PET packaging, transparency in operations, and measurable sustainability goals. We know that credible ESG data empowers our customers to build robust, verifiable carbon reduction strategies, and we’re committed to leading by example.

• Recycled content usage increased to 35 % of total resin, from 18 % in 2018, avoiding 35,585 tonnes of CO2 emissions
• CDP Score improved from B- to B, outperforming the plastic manufacturing sector average of C
• Lidköping site received a Gold Medal from EcoVadis, placing it in the 96th percentile; Czechia site awarded Bronze
• 99 % of electricity used across all Petainer sites came from renewable sources, up from 10 % in 2018
• Total workforce grew to 338 employees globally, with improved retention and reduced absenteeism
